Plainview Water District Commissioners Edward Shulroff, Kevin Langberg and Joel Kessler recently honored the first-, second-and third-place winners of the water district's 2005 Water Conservation Poster Contest during a standing-room-only ceremony attended by the winners and their families. The water district's annual poster contest is held for students in grades two through six in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District.
During the night's festivities, awards were given out to each grade level. First-place winners received a $100 US Savings Bond; a $50 US Savings Bond was awarded to both second- and third-place winners.
