I read the Letter to the Editor in the issue dated April 29. The writer is complaining that there will be too much traffic in an area where much of the property is an eyesore and no changes should occur in Plainview. This is very shortsighted as this area needs additional improvement and beautification

Plainview is a popular place to live and additional facilities are needed to satisfy the population growth. The residences will have very little disruption in our schools and the tax benefits should be substantial.

I have been living in Plainview for over 30 years. There have been tremendous changes in these years. If we were to campaign for no change during this period Plainview would still have potato fields.

I think the plans that were made public would improve the property values and allow Plainview to be more appealing.
