Attention local residents. A developer wants to build a city on the north and south side of Old Country Road and Round Swamp Road. On the north side, he would build 220 rentals plus a large retail shopping center. On the south side, he would build 135 town house units plus 316 condominium units and 48 senior citizen units, plus a 300 room hotel plus a cultural center of 18,000 square feet plus a 27,000 square foot club house.

This would add a minimum of 1,000 cars a day onto Old Country Road. Old Country Road traffic is already bad today. Can you picture 1,000 more cars? Call or visit every member of the board of the town of Oyster Bay and show them this article and ask them how they would consider a city of this size.
