  • News: Home Improvement Fraud Sweep Results in 15 Individuals Charged

    Nassau County District Attorney Denis Dillon and Nassau County Commissioner of Consumer Affairs Roger Bogsted announced that 15 individuals have been charged in connection with home improvement fraud. "In each case," Dillon said, "homeowners were victimized by unscrupulous operators who took their money and then failed to satisfactorily complete the home improvements for which they were paid."     The Plainview Water District will be holding a public status meeting to review and inform the public on the remedial actions that are being taken to provide treatment for the threatened water supply well located at Plant No. 2 on Donna Drive.
