  • News: Three POB Students Named Intel Semi-Finalists

    Three hundred outstanding young scientists were named semifinalists in the Intel Science Talent Search (Intel STS), earning $600,000 in total awards for themselves and their schools. Included in that 300 are three students from Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School. Heather Casper, Marissa Goldblatt and Matthew Schlossberger were announced as semi-finalists last week.   • News: Hearing to Construct KFC Held at Town of Oyster Bay Meeting

    A hearing was included on Tuesday night's Town Board agenda for the board to consider granting a special use permit to construct a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Plainview. The hearing was originally opened on Nov. 16, 2004 and was continued on Tuesday. FULL STORY
