  • News: POB School District Honors and Dedicates Vietnam War Plaque

    There have been many Memorial Services for fallen heroes whose lives had been cut short due do the ravages of war. On Oct. 1, the Plainview-Old Bethpage High School had a touching dedication ceremony honoring three young men whose lives were taken during the Vietnam War. A plaque bearing the names of Specialist James Joseph Bolson, Staff Sergeant John Jay Janoska Jr., Private First Class Eric Donn Saltz was unveiled next to the flagpole at the main entrance to Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School.   • News: Town Flu and Pneumonia Immunization Program Cancelled

    Due to the shortage of vaccine, the Town of Oyster Bay is canceling the 2004 Flu & Pneumonia Immunization Program, according to Bruce E. Foley, Commissioner of the Town of Oyster Bay Department of Community & Youth Services, which coordinates the program. FULL STORY
