As a strong advocate of the Town of Oyster Bay's first "SEA Fund" Bond, I have been thrilled to see the residents' investment in the future of our Town grow exponentially as projects have come to fruition.
Our neighbors have seen the preservation of a great portion of the majestic Underhill site after a 30-year battle, new sports fields, monies allocated for Brownfield revitalization, acquisition of small parcels of land from North to South Shore, improvements to numerous town parks and parklets and the addition of community centers in Hicksville and Plainview-Old Bethpage.
With increased population and the threat of urbanization in the Town of Oyster Bay, it is essential to have a vision towards the future. I commend the town's proactive stance and commitment to continually plan to preserve the last vestiges of open space and maintain our precious assets through updating and improving the town's recreational facilities.
As the first "SEA Fund" bond passed with over a 70 percent voter approval, I am hopeful our friends and neighbors will once again overwhelmingly support the town's initiative. Passage of "SEA Fund Bond #2" promises to have equally tangible benefits for our community as well as our surrounding neighbors.
On Election Day, I encourage you to please vote "yes" to this bond referendum and our continued highest quality of life in the town of Oyster Bay.
