The Plainview Water District rededicated their Administration Building in the memory of the brave men and women who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The event paid tribute to the scores of innocent heroes who were lost to the world three years ago. The ceremony took place on September 13, at 10 a.m. in front of the administration building located at 10 Manetto Hill Road, Plainview, NY 11803.

Joel Kessler, Chairman of the Plainview Water District Board of Commissioners began the ceremony, "Today, our community, our nation and our world are focused on remembering the tragedy and honoring the victims of September 11, 2001. No words can express the horror and tremendous grief each of us felt as we witnessed the unthinkable acts of terrorism. To honor these courageous men and women we would like to rededicate our administration building in their memory. We mourn their tragic loss of lives and we will never forget."

New York State Assemblyman David S. Sidikman, Town of Oyster Bay Town Clerk Steven L. Labriola and Superintendent Eric Burrell, Deputy Chief Richard Tousey, Commissioner Al Bassetta and Joseph Amato, all from the Plainview Fire Department, participated in the ceremony.
