  • News: Panera Bread Makes Case to Come to Plainview

    The Town of Oyster Bay board heard the application of Doherty Bread, LLC, Panera Bread lessee of a portion of the premises and C&B Realty #3, fee owner, for a special use permit to construct a 1,626 square foot addition to a building in an existing shopping center to allow a restaurant with a permitted occupancy of 165 persons in a Neighborhood Business District.   • News: Nassau Groups Back Environmental Bond

    Nassau County environmental, civic and business groups rallied at a special meeting of the Nassau County Legislature on Tuesday to support the placement of a $50 million Environmental Bond Act on the Nov. 2 ballot. If approved, the Trust Fund would protect water, preserve open space and farmland and improve parks. The measure's supporters are asking the Nassau County Legislature and County Executive Tom Suozzi to enact legislation putting the referendum to county voters. FULL STORY
