Congressman Steve Israel held a press conference last Friday, along with Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs, to demand that the White House and Republican leadership in the House and Senate provide the funds to fix dangerous intersections. The press conference was held at the intersection of Woodbury Road and Syosset Woodbury Road, one of the intersections that Israel would like fixed. Of the $14 million that Israel secured, $1.5 million is dedicated to making this specific intersection safer. FULL STORY
