The Plainview Water District recently recognized one of its employees, water servicer Marie Larocca, for her strong support of the nation's armed forces. This support has included donating time and supplies in making yellow ribbons and raising funds for the American Red Cross, which brings important services to US military personnel and their families.

(L-R) Plainview Water District Commissioner Ed Shulroff, Marie Larocca and Plainview Water District Commissioner Joel Kessler.

"The Water District is proud of Marie's efforts in supporting the members of our armed forces and their loves ones. Americans are very proud of our troops serving honorably in Iraq and around the world to guarantee our freedom and security. Having members of the armed services and their families in your prayers during this special season and taking actions to show your support is one of the most patriotic things you can do," said Kevin Langberg, president of Plainview Water District Board of Commissioners.
