As the court battle continues for the proposed mall on the 39-acre Cerro Wire site in Syosset, the developer, the Michigan-based Taubman Company, views Judge Catterson's most recent decision as one large step closer to the start of construction.

In a recent interview with the Syosset-Jericho Tribune, Mark Bulmash, Group Vice President of Development for the Taubman Company, said, "It's not a matter of if this mall is coming, but when."

Bulmash stressed that the Taubman Company wants to be as good a neighbor to local residents as they are in other communities where they have malls.

"We want community input on this project so when we start the design process, the community's needs can be heard," said Bulmash.

A toll-free number is available for local residents to call and leave a message voicing their opinions, concerns and thoughts. Call 1-866-872-0822 or visit www.mallatoysterbay.com.
