A celebration was held last week at Woodbury's United Presbyterian Residence to honor those involved with the United Presbyterian Long-Term Home Health Care Program (LTHHCP).

The program, also known as the "Nursing Home Without Walls" provides coordinated services to patients in their homes. Case management is a hallmark of the program and patients receive services such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health aides, social work and nutrition.
Assemblyman David Sidikman received a plaque from the LTHHCP for his legislative support of the New York State LTHHCP in Albany. Sidikman has been a staunch advocate for the LTHHCP and for the healthcare needs of New York State residents.
Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto presented a citation to Wendy Olesen, RN, BSN, Director of Patient Services, commending United Presbyterian LTHHCP for its, "...continuing efforts to meet the needs of the local community and whose outstanding service makes it possible for their patients to remain in a supportive and safe environment where they feel most comfortable in their own homes, with loved ones, for as long as they can do so."
Ralph Caruso, Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Senior Citizen Affairs, presented a proclamation to Olesen on behalf of County Executive Thomas Suozzi. The proclamation stated, "Whereas, the dedicated professionals at the United Presbyterian Long-Term Home Health Care Program have worked diligently to provide patients, family members and caregivers with safe, caring and quality health care and support..." The month of November of was proclaimed as Home Care Month in Nassau County.
James Tinnelly, President of the Syosset Chamber of Commerce, was also present and spoke about the services provided to the residents of Nassau County by the United Presbyterian LTHHCP.
