Bed Bath & Beyond, a nationwide chain of superstores selling domestics merchandise and home furnishings, will be coming to Plainview mid-winter, according to Lisa Hoffman, Public Relations Consultant for Bed Bath & Beyond. "We are excited to be coming to Plainview," Hoffman said.

The store will fill the vacancy left by The Wiz, after the corporation filed for bankruptcy in August of last year. The new store will be located at 401 South Oyster Bay Road in Plainview.

Founded in 1971, Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has over 500 stores that range in size from 30,000 to 50,000 square feet, with some stores exceeding 80,000 square feet.
