The Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce held elections for their board of directors. Ballot inspectors Charles Eric Gordon and Dona Malter announced the following results at the May 21 chamber meeting:

Donna Goldstein, David Dender and Francesca Carlow were elected to a three year-term.

Marianne Plummer, Richard Schatzel and Linda Greenbaum were elected to a two-year term.

Anna Goidell, Charlene Calise and Sheila Kreisberg were all elected to a one-year term.

The newly elected board of directors will now begin the nominating process for the chamber's officers. Any chamber member interested in being an officer should see one of the board members.

The chamber meets on a monthly basis and discusses issues pertinent to both the Plainview and Old Bethpage businesses and residents. For more information on the chamber, please call 937-5646.

The POB Chamber of Commerce also encourages all residents to support the Memorial Day Parade by either marching or watching this Monday. The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at 700 Old Country Road.
