The Brotherhood of Temple Beth Elohim was honored this past weekend when Cantor Richard Pilatksy and his wife, Cantor Sandy Sherry of Temple Beth El of Huntington, sang the National Anthem at Citibank Park prior to the start of the Long Island Ducks game May 4.

"Because of our support over the years, the Ducks asked us if we would be interested in becoming a part of the pre-game activities," said Bill Sobel, Executive Vice President of Brotherhood at Temple Beth Elohim. "Cantor Pilatksy asked if he could sing a duet with his wife, Cantor Sandy Sherry of Temple Beth El in Huntington and the Ducks agreed."

Included in the sold out crowd of over 6000 fans were over 250 Beth Elohim members and almost 150 from Beth El, cheering on the Cantorial Duet as they made their way to homeplate for the honor. In addition to the fans in the ballpark, members who were unable to attend the game were able to hear it live on IslandTalk 540AM WLIE Radio.
