The Oyster Bay Town Board hosted its fifth annual Women of Distinction awards ceremony on March 25 prior to the town board meeting. At the ceremony, Claire Millman, a resident of Plainview for 43 years, was named a Distinguished Woman in Government. FULL STORY

"Alert not alarmed" and "prepared not scared" were two of the slogans suggested by Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi at a press conference on Thursday, March 20. Mr. Suozzi called the meeting to announce the county's preparedness efforts now that the country is at war.
