Father of John III, Ron Hoffman, Dr. Marie Egan, Patrick and Tammy Egan. Grandfather of Amanda and Jennifer Egan. Brother of Austin (Mary) Egan. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law of Sarah and the late Warren Shanahan, Claire and the late Nicholas Pedicini and Dorothy and the late Remo Pedicini. He was predeceased by his wife Julia (Rosato) and their baby son William Patrick. Arrangements were made by the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Hicksville. Funeral Mass at St. Pius X RC Church. Interment LI National Cemetery. Philip F. Nolan, of Plainview, died on Aug. 9, 2002. He was born on Nov. 28, 1926 in Franklin Square. A WWII Navy veteran, he was an executive at Bohack and King Kullen and was a lay minister at St. Pius X RC Church. Husband of Dorothy. Father of Cynthia, Philip, Daniel, Michael, James and Margaret. Grandfather of Beth, Matt, Alex, Kathryn, Phoebe, John, Ethan, Jonathan, Kevin, Mary, Brian, Erin, Rebecca and Chloe. Also survived by his daughters and sons-in-law. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
