Cremation private. Alfonso J. Abbadangelo, of Plainview, died on Jan. 9, 2002. He was a WWII veteran and was at the Normandy Invasion. He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Husband of Anne (nee Giaccone). Father of Linda Munden, Alan (Maribeth) and John (Pamela). Grandfather Stacy Munden and Nicholas. Brother of Frank, Anthony and the late Roy.
