Organizers of the Nick Katsounis Memorial Wheelchair Championship Race, to be held on Sunday, June 24 recently welcomed Dr. Edward Fryman, a resident of Plainview, as the newest sponsor of the event.

"Dr. Fryman is one of Long Island's leading sports podiatrists, who serves as the medical director of the Canon Long Island Marathon Half Marathon, and we are quite pleased at his generosity and support for this very emotional event," said Geraldine Walsh, who will be serving as the director of this year's Race for the host Greater Long Island Running Club. "His help will be instrumental in preserving the memory of Nick Katsounis, the Race's founder, and in assuring the success of this year's Race. We thank Dr. Fryman for his generosity."
