Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public's help in connection with a fraudulent accosting that occurred in Old Bethpage.
On Oct. 23, 2000 at 4 a.m., an unknown male arrived at Consolidated Freightways and spoke to the victim, who was loading dock supervisor. The male stated that he was the manager's son and had been sent by his father to get cash from the victim. The subject stated the money was for bail because his father had been arrested. The victim went with the subject to a nearby bank and withdrew money from his account. He then gave the cash to the subject. The subject was observed operating a late model Ford Escort, two-door sedan.
The subject is a white male in his late 20's to early 30's. He is approximately 5'9"-5'11" tall and about 220 pounds. He has a mustache and a shaved head.
