Scott Eisberg, a senior at Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School won a contest sponsored by the Queen Latifah show. Scott was waiting on a standing-room-only line for a Hootie & the Blowfish concert, when producers from the Queen Latifah show approached him and others on line, asking for the number one Hootie fan. Entrants into the contest had to tell producers all they knew about the band, and why they should win. Thinking nothing of it, Scott went into the concert, and forgot about the incident.

Several weeks later, he got a call from the Queen Latifah show - he had won the contest and was now officially Hootie and the Blowfish's number one fan. Scott got to tape a segment at home, showing off all of his Hootie paraphernalia, and best of all, he met and interviewed the band members at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan for the QL show. They talked, and played golf together. Scott called them the nicest guys ever!"

They spoke about the University of South Carolina being Scott's first choice for college; coincidentally, USC is where the band members attended, and formed Hootie. When asked by Darius Rucker, the band's lead singer, if he heard whether he had been accepted, Scott told them he hadn't. Seconds later, Rucker handed Scott his acceptance letter, framed, on national television.

This was the highpoint of Scott's life. From incidentally standing on line to see his favorite band perform, Scott ended up winning a contest, meeting the band, receiving an acceptance letter from his dream college from them, and even walking away with the drummer's baseball cap.

Not to mention that he has an open invite to see the band play, anytime they're performing.
