On Election Day we have the choice of saying "Yes" to clean water, open space and improved parks. The Town of Oyster Bay is offering voters an opportunity to support an Environmental Bond Act. The "SEA Fund" (Save Environmental Assets) will generate $30 million for acquisition of environmentally sensitive land, open space, as well as fund enhancements to our parks and recreation facilities. Projects will be selected through an Environmental Bond Fund Advisory Committee comprised of town officials, as well as representatives from across the town. The Bond will cost $19.44 per household per year or about $1.70 per month; what a terrific way to maximize our dollars!

The Bond issue already enjoys bi-partisan support and only needs us to cast a "Yes" vote on our ballots next to Proposition #3 - "The Sea Fund" on Election Day, Nov. 7. It makes sense to invest in our future. For only six cents a day we can protect our environment and improve our parks and recreation facilities.
