Pictured here, Wheelchair Race Director Nick Katsounis (R) presents the shirts and trophy to EPVA President Angelo Bianco (L) and EPVA Director Michael J. Wheaton (C).

Representatives of the Greater Long Island Running Club recently journeyed to the offices of Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association to formally thank the association for its support of this year's Salomon Smith Barney North American Wheelchair Championship Race; and to present a special lucite trophy to commemorate its support and, perhaps most important of all, to give Association President Angelo Bianco and Association Director Michael J. Wheaton race shirts as a way of saying "thank you," once again.

"The EPVA provides the special buses that are used for transportation of the wheelchair athletes between the Huntington Hilton and the start of the race," noted Wheelchair Race Director Nick Katsounis, "an absolutely essential donation of services for which we are truly grateful!"
