The featured speaker at the Tuesday, Oct. 19 meeting of the Greater Long Island Running Club will be nationally renowned race walking and health walking coach Jake Jacobson. The meeting will be held at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Road in Plainview starting promptly at 8 p.m. The general public is cordially invited to attend.

Coach Jacobson is a certified Level II distance running and racewalk coach, a former men's National Racewalk team coach, coach to several Olympic racewalkers, and the founder of the Eastside Track Club. He has been involved in race walking, fitness walking and running for his entire life and is prepared to show the audience how¬"technique first, then speed and endurance."
