  • NEWS: POB voters Pass School Budget

    Across Long Island, a record number of budgets were supported by voters on "Super Tuesday," May 18, and nothing was different in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. Of the 4,296 total votes cast for the budget, 2,896 votes, or 67 percent, were in favor of the budget - an extraordinarily large margin of voters saying "yes" to the proposed budget. FULL STORY

    The Greater Long Island Running Club was treated to a very special evening at the Club's May 18 general membership meeting - as the charming, informative and entertaining Kathy Martin was the guest speaker. At age 47, Kathy, a resident of Northport, is Long Island's top Masters (age 40 plus) runner, and excels at every distance from short track events to the Half Marathon. Most recently Kathy was the second woman finisher overall and the first Masters finisher in the Canon Long Island Half Marathon. FULL STORY
