The first annual 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Association For Children With Down Syndrome, Inc. (ACDS), located in Bellmore. The proceeds from this event will go to improving the lives of all children and young adults with Down syndrome and their families. The Run-Walk will take place rain or shine on Sunday, May 23, at Eisenhower Park. The run will start at 9 a.m., the walk will start at 10 a.m. The run will begin and end at Eisenhower Park - Parking Field #1. Registration for this event is $13 by mail and $15 day of run. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m at the Eisenhower Park Field House. The Field House is off parking fields #1 and #2. This race will be managed by Finish Line Road Race Technicians using ChampionChip Technology.
