Thanks to Residents' Generosity The Cupboards Are Full
"Thank you! The cupboards are not only full but overflowing from the generosity of the Town of Oyster Bay community," said Ashley Kruger, one of the youth organizers of a food drive held recently by youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over 1,000 empty brown bags were distributed in Plainview and surrounding areas by youth asking for food donations to benefit the Hicksville Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) soup kitchen.

Businessman Participates in White House Millennium Event
Paul G. Regensburg of Plainview was contacted by the White House in an effort to enhance Mrs. Clinton's Millennium event series. These events are a group of interactive presentations designed to inform and educate the American people on the Millennium, past, present, and future. Mr. Regensburg is the North East regional sales manager for Pioneer New Media Technologies. He has been working with President Clinton and the First Lady since January 1999 and supplied Pioneer's high definition flat screen TVs, that provided visual support for the various speakers at these events.

Young Plainview Lacrosse Hawks Learn to Fly
The Plainview PAL third and fourth grade lacrosse team earned their wings this past Sunday with a win over a tough Jericho squad. The score was 4-3 with Greg Lester scoring the winning goal with under two minutes left in the game. Also scoring for the Hawks was Logan Rubinstein who amazed the crowd with two goals.
