The Adelphi University Recognition Scholarship is awarded to students who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service while in high school. Students must demonstrate special talents in such extracurricular areas of achievement as community service, journalism, creative writing, student clubs and organizations, debate and other such activities to be eligible for this award. The Adelphi University Recognition Award represents over $7 million that Adelphi provides its undergraduates each year in honor of their achievements.
Associate Director of Admissions Cindy Oliveira said, "Adelphi is proud to recognize Krista for her exceptional achievements, her hard work and her commitment to leadership."
