The Town of Oyster Bay has just closed the books on the year 1998. The town's Director of Finance Robert McEvoy said in preparing his year end report: "Every fund is ending with a surplus." OYSTER BAY TOWN Supervisor John Venditto recently participated as a guest reader for the "People As Reading Partners" (PARP) program at the Parkway Elementary School in Plainview. Through programs at home and school, PARP involves partners in the essential task of making better readers.
