Minority Leader Bruce Nyman (D-Long Beach) will be responding to the 1999 State of the County Address, immediately following County Executive Thomas Gulotta's speech.

"We will be giving a more accurate description of the state of Nassau County," Minority Leader Nyman said. The response is scheduled for approximately 11:30 a.m.

Minority Leader Nyman will be joined in the Caucus Room by fellow Democrats, Legislator Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury), Legislator Lisanne Altmann (D-Great Neck), Legislator Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) and Legislator Barbara Johnson (D-Port Washington).

The Democrats will be outlining the State of the County, including the estimated $100-$200 million deficit, the Nassau County jail scandal and the county's health insurance fiasco.

Refreshments will be served.
