Obituaries
Leo O'Mealia, 82, fomerly of Plainview and Levittown, died on Oct. 17, 1998. Born in Flatbush in 1916, he received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Fordham University. He served in the Army in Europe during WWII where he stormed the beach at Normandy on D-Day. He worked for the Animal Medical Center of NY as a financial administrator retiring in 1982. Husband of Helen. Father of Patricia Lee and Michael. Funeral Mass at Holy Name of Jesus RC Church in Florida. A memorial service is scheduled for Nov. 28 at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale. Mr. O'Mealia was cremated. Donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation Center, 1400 S. Apollo Blvd., Melbourne, FL 32901.
