Venditto Explains Town of OB Budget
The Town of Oyster Bay budget for 1998 calls for $138,625,289 in its preliminary budget which was the subject of a public hearing on Oct. 20. The next step was for the board to adopt the budget which took place at the board meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The $138 million plus is an increase of 37.7 cents per $100 of assessed valuation which translates into $28.28 for the average homeowner assessed at $7,500.

Nighthawks Soar to Victory
The Nighthawks, one of POB's 12-year-old girls travel soccer teams won the Poughkeepsie Tournament over the Columbus Day weekend. The girls, who traveled to Poughkeepsie on a mission to avenge last year's bitter defeat, not only won all five of their games, but did so very convincingly!
