The 1989 Boys Plainview Lightning travel soccer team captured third place at the Huntington HBC Labor Day Soccer Tournament. This was the first official outing for the team after a vigorous summer of training with Coach Rich Eidler. The boys won their first three games with resounding scores of 7-1, 7-0, and 7-1, thanks to the spectacular efforts of all team members. Plainview Lightning began its official season on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Syosset at the Nassau County soccer fields in Plainview.
