Dr. Joseph Cassin of Glen Cove has been designated the Right to Life candidate for the New York State 13th Assembly District. Dr. Cassin was a two term Democratic member of the Glen Cove City Council from 1984-1988. In 1990, he resigned the Democratic leadership of Glen Cove because of the Nassau County Democratic Committee's and National Democratic Party's pro-abortion agendas. "The most impoverished of our society are those who have no voice to speak for them. I am honored to advocate life issues, and to demand accountability of the Democratic incumbent's efforts to ban debate on partial birth abortion, and the Republican Gubernatorial candidate's adoption of Democratic pro-choice politics. The Right to Life line in the 13th district will be an opportunity for all citizens to advocate life issues."
