The committee that put the brunch together welcomes the volunteers to the brunch (l.-r.): Linda Ottaviano, Joe Sturgess and Mindy Davidson.

This year's Chase Corporate Challenge was once again Long Island's largest participatory sports event, and the success of the event was entirely due to the dedicated efforts of nearly 200 volunteers from the Plainview-Old Bethpage Road Runners Club. As a means of saying, "Thank you" to the volunteers, the club hosted a special Sunday morning brunch at its office/clubhouse on Aug. 23, with a great buffet spread for everyone.

"Without volunteer race officials, we can do nothing," commented club coordinator of volunteers Mindy Davidson. "With their support, there is no limit to what we can do. This brunch is a sincere "thank you" from the club and from Chase to all our wonderful volunteers."
