MaryLou Viette, 61, died on July 29, 1998. Born in Glen Cove, she grew up in Syosset and Plainview and worked at her father's flower nurseries in East Norwich. She attended Hicksville High School and graduated from Plattsburgh State Teachers College. She taught kindergarten in Syosset. She married Kenneth Lee in 1962 and was divorced in 1979. She was also a substitute teacher and taught mentally and physically handicapped children. She is survived by her mother, Jessie Viette; the children, Deryck Lee and Noelle Lee; two grandchildren; and her brother, Andre. Service at St. James Lutheran Church, Fisherville, VA. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Thomas F. Reilly Sr., 77, formerly of Woodbury, died on Aug. 10, 1998. Born Dec. 31, 1920, he was a master sergeant in the Army during WWII and a tank commander for the 4th Armored Division under Gen. Patton. He was involved in the march on Bastogne in the Battle of the Bulge, the invasion of Saint-Lo and the capture of the Remagen Bridge on the Rhine River in Germany. Mr. Reilly was awarded a Silver Star, a Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, two Purple Hearts and a Presidential Citation. He was made military governor of Hof, Germany, in 1945, where he was responsible for incoming supplies. Mr. Reilly worked for Austin Nichols and Peerless Importers as a liquor salesman. He was a member of the VFW of Syosset and Levittown, the Huntington American Legion, the Hicksville Elks and the 4th Armored Division Association. Husband of Letitia (Coniglio). Father of Thomas Jr., Neal, John and Kathi Setteducati. Grandfather of seven. Brother of Beatrice and Mary. Arrangements were made by the M.A. Connell Funeral Home, Huntington. Mass at St. Patrick's Church. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery.
