On Monday, May 18, the Plainview-Old Bethpage Board of Education recognized students who earned the Scholar Athlete Team Award from the women's and men's indoor track team. The following students helped their teams hold a composite average of 90 percent or above, which qualified them for the award:

The men's team realized a composite grade average of 94.1 percent, while the women's team achieved a 96.6 percent. Athletic director Kevin McDermott introduced the students to Board President Ginger Lieberman, POBJFKHS Principal Art Jonas, and Superintendent Dr. Anthony Cavanna, who all congratulated them individually on a job well done.
