The featured speaker at the Tuesday, May 19 meeting of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Road Runners Club will be Wayne Vartabedian, the Long Island representative of "Power Bar," the energy food that has proven to be the nation's most popular source of instant energy for runners, triathletes, and other endurance athletes.

The meeting will be held at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Road in Plainview, starting promptly at 8 p.m. The general public is most cordially invited to attend.

Wayne's work for "Power Bar" has brought him into contact with some of the nation's top athletes. In addition to providing the audience with information about "Power Bars," he's got lots of interesting stories to tell - and the evening should be entertaining as well as informative.

For more information, call Road Runners Club President Mike Polansky at the club's office at 349-7646.
