Joe Lamb K. of C. November "Knight of the Month"
Joe Lamb K. of C. Past Grand Knight Henry (Hank) Schettini, of Plainview, was selected by the Joseph F. Lamb Council No. 5723 Knights of Columbus, Plainview/Hicksville, as the November "Knight of the Month." The selection was made by Deputy Grand Knight Alfred J. Eusini.
P.G.K. Schettini served a two-year term as Grand Knight of the Lamb Council from June, 1993, to June, 1995 (Colombian years). He first joined the council in 1968 and served as financial secretary for over 17 years. He has always been one of the most active members of the council, and has served on many committees throughout the years. He is a council trustee and is very active as a delegate to the Nassau/Suffolk Chapter. P.G.K. Schettini is also serving as auxiliary chairman liaison to the Joe Lamb Columbiettes. He is co-chairman of the Nassau/Suffolk Charity and Benevolent (C&B) Chancebook Drive for the Disabled. He is also the chairman of the football sweepstakes program. Hank is truly one very active person.
P.G.K. Schettini, and his wife Marie, have lived in Plainview for 34 years. They have two married daughters and five grandchildren.
Henry Schettini worked for Grumman Corp., as an aerospace engineer, for 36 years. He retired several years ago, but keeps himself very active five days a week, working as a volunteer to help retarded children at the Long Island Development Center.
His hobbies are bowling and doing volunteer work. P.G.K. Schettini is very well appreciated by his brother Knights at Lamb Council, and they commend him for his many accomplishments.
