Police Seek Information on Plainview Robbery
The Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers unit is seeking information from the public regarding a robbery that occured in Plainview on Sunday, November 2.
According to detectives, at least two men wearing black clothes and masks, forcefully entered the Restaurant Depot, located at 235 Express St., at 3 p.m. by spraying mace in the face of the manager and a worker. The subjects then handcuffed both employees and demanded that the manager open three safes. The manager opened two of the safes, and when he was unable to open the third, the subjects unsuccessfully atempted to open it by shooting it. After failing to open the third safe, the subjects fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of currency and property.
No injuries were reported and detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
