Gregory Adami called to identify the Nov. 12 mystery picture. He said, “The mystery picture, I’m pretty sure, it the Town of Oyster Bay Centre Island Beach – overlooking the harbor and to the left is Centre Island.”
He is correct!
Billy Minicozzi too said, “It is a man on Centre Island beach.”
FYI: the photo was taken during the Red Cross Swim-A-Cross. If it is not on your list of things to do, give it your consideration for next year. It is a challenging and exciting event and does a great deal of good for the Nassau County community. The Red Cross is there when you need them!
Our firemen are there too, when needed. They enjoyed a day of celebration on Sunday, Nov. 15 as the new Atlantic Steamer water rescue boat house was officially opened. Oyster Bay is lucky to have two fire houses, the Atlantic Steamer Fire Department and the Oyster Bay Fire Company #1, that together make up one entity that works together to serve the community. That of course, is no mystery! [Full coverage of the event will be in next week’s edition of the Enterprise Pilot.]
