“I know it is the Sagamore Yacht Club launch dock,” said Joan Burke of the May 26 mystery picture in the Enterprise Pilot. “We are members, and keep our boat there. I knew the picture as soon as I saw it.”Belle Santora said, “This is a guess. It looks like the marina next to Sagamore Yacht Club. She added that she was at the Life Enrichment Center book sale, and that she loves to read novels by Danielle Steele. Please see the LEC Newsline to see the rest of the story.
The fabulous Betty Tiska emailed her answer. She said, “Not only do I know where the Mystery Picture was taken (it’s the Sagamore Yacht Club dock) but I watched the photographer take it during Classics Day in Oyster Bay on Sunday, May 15, 2011 (Big hint: The photographer is also the E-P editor; another hint: initials are: D.K.).”
She nailed it all. What else is there to say, except that it was fascinating to see visually how big the difference is in the height of the bay at low and high tide. This is a picture of the dock at low tide.
