Carl Bernard Larsen, proud veteran of WWII, formerly of Queens and Bayville, passed away on Oct. 8, 2010 in Annapolis, MD, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Morris) Larsen, father of Carl B. Larsen (Tulinda) and Kim Larsen (Jim Etkin). Treasured grandfather of Bryce Larsen, Jenny Larsen and Abe Etkin. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Waterman First Class aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard in the Pacific Ocean and was a member of the Fleet Reserve, Annapolis. Memorial services were held Nov. 27 at Seawane Golf and Country Club, Hewlett Harbor, NY.

He was the oldest living member of the Italian Mutual Aid Society of Oyster Bay, founder of Oyster Bay Clam Bar, past commander of American Legion Quentin Roosevelt Post #4 and a devoted WWII veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Kevin Smith, Pastor of St. Dominic’s RC Church officiating. Interment at Locust Valley Cemetery.
