James, Virginnia Lorraine was born Aug. 17, 1939 to the late Henry and Rebecca James. Lorraine was born and raised in Oyster Bay and graduated from Oyster Bay High School in 1957. After graduation, Lorraine worked for Doubleday Book Co. in Garden City until it closed. She then began working at Shelter Rock Public Library where she became head of Circulation Services and retired in 2004 after 39 years. She was also a member and officer of the New York Library and Nassau County Library Associations.

Stephen Donald Regan, 90, of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Bayville, died quietly at home on Oct. 22, 2010. Husband of 47 years to Josephine. Father of Alanna D. Regan of Port Jefferson, Sheila Sealy of Cold Spring Harbor and Dennis P. Regan of Cambridge, NY. Steve had a much traveled and storied life. Born in New York City and raised in upstate New York, Steve was a graduate of Union College and Syracuse University. He also served in the U.S. Merchant Marine before going on to serve as a first lieutenant of the Army Air Corps in WWII where he was decorated for his service in the Pacific Theater.
William J. Tedesco, 63, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Oyster Bay, died suddenly on Oct. 21, 2010. Beloved son of Grace and Sam Tedesco. Loving brother of James Tedesco (Louise). Proud uncle of James V. Tedesco, MD (Jennifer), Lisa Crowe (Chip), Denise Tedesco, Edward Tedesco and Annmarie Tedesco. Dear great-uncle of Dominic, Maria, and Elizabeth.
