Agnes Trill Funk, of Upper Brookville, died on June 28, 2011, at the age of 79. She was born on Sept. 22, 1931. She was a noted philanthropist. Agnes and her late husband John Funk [he died in September 2003] were devoted to raising funds for charities that helped children. They included: the National Center for Disability Services; Schneider Children’s Hospital; the Long Island Philharmonic; Meals on Wheels; St. Mary’s Children & Family Services in Syosset; and St. Christopher-Ottilie; the Gift of Life donor program; and the Children’s Medical Fund.
Edward W. Hauser, of McCormick, SC, and East Norwich, died on July 7, 2011. Husband of Elizabeth (Betty). Father of Victoria, Edward, Terry (Michael) Wulforst, Lori (Peter) Strohla, Robin (Robert) Licato. Grandfather of 21 and great-grandfather of two. Brother of Richard. He was a 64-year member of the East Norwich Fire Company and member of the East Norwich Volunteer and Exempts, past president of the East Norwich Kiwanis. Edward J. Dudas, a native of Brooklyn, formerly of Mill Neck, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2022 of natural causes. He was 90 years of age. He lived in Tallahassee, FL, since 1984. He was a veteran who received the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Bronze Star and WWII Victory Medal.
