Changes to the Town of Oyster Bay Code of Ordinances pertaining to mooring permits in Oyster Bay Harbor will be the subject of a Tuesday, Oct. 28, public hearing by the Oyster Bay Town Board.
"The proposed changes included making a list of GPS coordinates for each mooring part of the chart of anchoring areas adopted by the Town Board and instituting a new Mooring Placement Permit for companies that place moorings for individuals, as well as 'housekeeping' items to properly reflect jurisdiction by various Town departments and commissioners," Town Councilman Chris Coschignano said.
The meeting will be held in the hearing room of Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay. Beginning at 10 a.m., the regular town calendar, including the above-mentioned hearing, will be called. Following the regular town business, the town board will be available to listen to public comment on any matter. Just go to the clerk's desk in front of the dais and ask for a form to complete, so your name can be called so you can speak.
