Belle Santora said of the July 17 mystery photo, "It's the ramp that they built at Beekman Beach. We call it 'the ramp to nowhere. It's on the side of the western waterfront park where the new gazebo is located."
According to the town, the "ramp" is a bridge that people can walk over and look down and see the wetland area recently created there.
Billy Minicozzi said, "It's a board walk in Mill Neck." He wished good luck to the Mets and Yankees in the baseball season.
We received an email identifying the July 11 photo. "It's the Firemen's Field training area," said the "Phantom". He added, "A recently married Phantom!"
Congratulations to the Phantom and his bride!
D. Harrington called to identify the July 11 photo and said, "It is a picture of the St. Rocco festival slide being assembled or disassembled." That was an interesting guess!
Phil Kornblum called to identify the mystery-mystery picture of July 3. "It is of Memorial Field at the Relay for Life event. My two sons, David and Steven went to the school years ago," he said. Mr. Kornblum said he attended the Relay for Life with his wife, who was a volunteer there. "It was a great evening," he added.
