Rev. Carlos W. James, 91, of Syosset, died on Feb. 2, 2008. Husband of Virginia (Sample). Father of Carlos (Renee), Kevin (Rhonda) and Ian (Lucille). Grandfather of Carlos Jr., Todd, Andre, Dellee, Robyn, Erikka, Carlle and Skyyee. Son of the late Henry and Martha James. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WW II. Rev. James was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Oyster Bay where he served as a deacon and was later ordained as a minister.

Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Funeral service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
