The boys U-12 Oyster Bay Storm ended their 5th season together by winning first place in their division with a record of 7 wins 0 losses and 2 ties. All the boys worked very hard this season and all their hard work paid off. They are undefeated after coming from a season that all they could do was tie. With a lot of hard work and dedication the boys worked together with their coaches and trainers to make this season successful. The boys would like to thank all their parents for all their support even when the wind and rain was so bad it would have been much easier to stay home. They would also like to thank their trainers Mike Mourelo and Mario Delisi from Intense Soccer Academy for all their hard work and patience this season. Last but not least the team thanks Oyster Bay Soccer Club for all their support and encouragement. Storm now looks ahead to the spring season with anticipation of continued success.
Tornadoes end their fall season tied for second place in division 3. They hosted the Lake Grove Lightning at S 14 in Syosset. The game started with the Tornadoes dominating play, Katie O'Brien received a cross from Melissa Albanese and Katie put it in the back of the net. Emily Siringo followed with a goal of her own after receiving a pass from Arden Etts. Tornadoes lead 2 to 0 at the half.
A minute in the second half, Kristie Kelly dribbled through the Lake Grove defense and crossed to the right side of the goal mouth where a Lightning player tried to clear the ball into her own net for the Tornadoes third goal.
Lake Grove came back to score two unanswered goals of their own. The Tornadoes stacked the defense to seal the win for their sixth win of the season. They ended their fall season with a record of 6 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.
The Twisters are girls under the age of 15, they have been playing together for five and half years. They finished their fall season in first place with 7 wins no losses and two ties.
The Power are boys under the age of 11 playing together for a year and half. The Power ended their season undefeated with 8 wins, 0 losses and one tie.
The Fusion are boys under the age of 11 ended their season with 4 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie.
The Dream are girls under 12 years of age; they ended the season with 6 wins, 3 losses and 1 tie.
The Blizzards are Oyster Bay' s oldest girl's team, they are under the age of 16 and played together for the last six and one half years, they ended the season with 4 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties.
All of the teams will now start their winter soccer by playing indoors at Roosevelt, East Woods and Vernon Schools until the spring season begins in March.
